rear hatch sensor

My rear hatch dome light (2000) ltd runner, works intermittently ,I can't seem to find any kind of obvious pin switch or anything, what kind of sensor or whatever do they have, the light works fine in on/off mode just not"door" mode Thanks Mike

I would assume there would be some sort of sensor like the front doors, kinda a push pull little thing on the door jamb ya know...If so That could just be gummed up..

I believe the rear hatch courtesy light switch is down around the center latch area inside the door. You have to remove the interior panel on the hatch to remove the switch to clean or test it.
