so no pic of kc daylighters i would like to compare with some other pic i have seen that show distance and width

 

I would, but I need to do a little revamping of my wiring to make them work again. I melted them when I installed my sliders. lol Oops. . .

I went the HID with the hellas as well.... yours looks better though. maybe i should have gotten the 700's instead of the 500's

 

I have 4 KC Daylighters on my Rollbar, and 2 ProComps (nearly Identical to the KC's) on my bumper. I'm VERY HAPPY with them All! I'm not sure what the ProComps, are someone gave them to me used. And it's been so long since I purchased the KC's that I can't remember which ones they are. What ever they are, they are the basic ones that Kragen carries. . .

Im gonna be going with the Kragen HIDs. I've heard too many good things about them and they're bright as hell!

 

Here's my hella 500ff and the ones on the sides are kc knockoffs that I got new from eBay for 35bucks. They work well on the trail. I would like to upgrade the ones on the sides to hids

 

Light Force is hands down the best light out there. You can adjust the beam like a MagLite and several different color/pattern lens covers are available (even IR).
Those of us that use these type of lights as "high beams" I do not recomend using HIDs. Frequent on/off cycling drasticly reduces bulb life and as most of you are aware, these bulbs are expensive and you cant just go to the parts store and buy one.
A note about buying ebay HID headlight kits. I have these and had problem right away. Fortunately I bought my kit from a Cumminsforum.com vendor that stood behind them and I had a new kit the next day.

 

The DDM 55W kit ($70 right now) has a lifetime warrantee on the ballast and voltage regulator, and replacement bulbs for it are only $20 for a pair. For that price I'm fine with using them as hi-beams on lonely roads. Buying HID conversions off of Ebay can definitely be a crap shoot though...

 

X2. my DDM's are still going strong after using them for High beams and when it comes time to replace it's not that costly.

 

What foglights/projectors are those mounted in the lower grill? How are they mounted?

 

They're just cheapo $20 Wal-Mart driving lights screwed into the lower valence. I originally had some PIAA fog lights, but the sealed bulbs were so expensive I didn't want to replace them, so when I went with some Hella 500's I got the cheapo lights to light the road on the sides closer to me. They did OK, but are basically useless now since the HID's are so bright, so I'll just be dumping them.

Maybe I'll change them to auxillary reverse lights instead...
