When I first bought my truck there were lights on my roll bar, but the didn't work and were rusted pretty bad. I'm to the point now where I want to put light back on it and dont know what I should go with. I can have up 4... I'm not sure if I want to do 4 of the same or do 2 long range and 2 fogs. So please give your input on what you would do here. Brands and type. Thanks

I had 2 hella 700ff's and i was suprized with the output. Decent price to, around 100 a set. And you could retro some HID's in it if you dont like the lighting.

 

get some cheapo deapo halogen light and swap some HID's in.

i was only going to do this though because i already have the HID kit.


price for 4 lights, at $36 a piece is is $144, plus ~$50 for a PNP HID kit(2 lights) so $100 for the hid kits. your looking at close to $250 for 4 HID's that will be brighter than you will EVER need.




or you could buy a couple pairs of lights that are already HID for the same price....lol

 

oh and i believe Fog lights up that high would be useless....fog lights are designed to be mounted as low as possible, if i recall that correctly.

super offroaders they have a range of 8 miles or the offroaders with a range of 5

 

there made by dick cepek 9 inchs big 210 watt air vent so they dont get to hot

 

I was running 6 KC Daylighter knock offs with 35w hids in them..

I personally hated them, but the kid I sold 4 of them to loves 'em.. $25 a pair for the housings, $30/pair for DDMTuning hids..

freaking laser show.. I'm in the midst of running a bixenon projector in a pair of the KC's right now.. we'll see how those turn out.

 

I had two KC Daylighter's on my rollbar. They certainly helped in the woods.

 

My opinion would be to stay away from euro-beams and go with a spot pattern. When I built the roof basket I moved my IPF 968's to the roof. They had worked well on the bumper but their pattern doesn't do much for me on the roof. Eventually I will put them back on the bumper and put some spot pattern lights on the basket.

I run KC's Stainless Steel Daylighters and I never had any rust problems. You get what you pay for so purchase something that will last.

 

are they the long range lights?

The Roll Bar lights (4) are Long Range-150 watts each, front bar lights are Driving-150 watts each and the lower units are fog lights-100 watts each. All lights are KC Stainless Steel and have been operating for 20+ years.

 

KC's are great lights, but not worth it TO ME..at like $150 for a pair, efffff that..i'll pass.

 

X2! I have cheapo's from walmart and they work fine. Also got pro comps from 4 wheel parts and they are great
