intermittant electrical problem

My 95 4x4 pickup 3.0 v6 has a weird electrical problem. Everything will be fine then all of a sudden will lose all guages, dash lights, heater fan, daytime running lights, overdrive in transmission and won't engage 4 wheel drive. After a day or two of that you start the truck and everything works fine again for maybe a day or two and then everything cuts out again. Anybody have any ideas?

i know that bad grounds and bad alternators can cause all sorts of issues. perhaps others have other suggestions, but you will ALWAYS need a good ground, and living in Ontario might have some corrosion/rust where you don't want it.

They act funny or weird when the voltage drops below 12.6V.

Mine was the brake light staying on, and did not notice that for days! Pulled the brake light fuze, fixed thru the removed gauges.
