installing a fan 12 volt fan:help:
hi there i recently bought a small rotating fan from walmart that i can screw onto my dash. this will help with my AC problem but the problem is it plugs into your cigarrettelighter and i already have something in it, additionally it has a loonnnggg cord which would drape down over my stick shift which would get in the way
so my question is can i slice off the cigg adapter and run the cord over to my accessorry fuse and have it turn on when i want like i did with my CB Radio?
also a problem with that is i have the cb wire alredy straped the the fuse can i have another on the other side of the fuse?
and last question is that the wire itself has two seprate wires into one wire, do i connect both wires to the fuse or ground one of them like the CB?
im kinda leaning twords both on that one becuase i think when your wireing something to the frame of the vehical its to get reception
any help would be great
thanks, John

I would suggest you pick up an inline fuse form any auto store, and wire the positive wire with the fuse inline directly to your battery. Then put a switch inline with the ground. That way you don't have to tap into anything, and you can use the fan even if the truck is off.
