Gauges and Climate Control Not Working...

Sorry if this topic has been covered but i searched and didn't see anything directly related to my problem.

1990 Toyota Pickup 4WD 22RE

So my Fuel & Temp gauges don't work, also my climate control controls don't work anymore either. So my radio works and my spedo work and blinker lights (inside of course) all work still. The battery light comes on like normal when the key is first turned(not started). So the gauge cluster is still getting power, i have checked all the fuses i can find. My next thing to check was grounds to see why these have stopped working, mind you these all went out at the same time.

Thanks in advance for any help, also picture tax included

Got this truck free from my father last week, now to start on my new project of getting it back to the best it can be

Red face

When you say the climate controls and gauges don`t work do you mean the lights??

If you have AC that switch and the blower motor switch are the only thing electric every thing else is cable controlled

Did the truck sit unused for a long period of time? Evil rodent damage is always possible

Your Fuel Gauge and Temperature gauge are not working ( How long has you Father put up with no gauges??)

The light circuit and gauge information are 2 different circuits

No the truck hasn’t sat more then a few days, it’s been driven daily for years.

The climate controls themselves don’t work, meaning no blower or anything. They don’t even light up with the head lights on.

The fuel/heat gauge thing happen a few weeks back, everything stopped working at the same time. I will ask him tonight but I’m pretty sure.

I do know the fuel pump and tank were both replaced last year so I am going to check the wiring more closely after I come back from vacation. I checked the wires along the frame and such to see if I seen anything broken/chewed/smashed but I didn’t see anything.

Well after some time i have finally figured out what my problem was. As i was doubling checking some wiring i accidentally pushed on the fuse box and everything started to work, so long story short it seems the contacts inside were just dirty and not connecting like they should. As you can see in the picture they were just dirty. But eh at least thats one problem down.....
