My brother recently purchased a '90 4Runner. Days after he got it the electric door locks started malfunctioning. The biggest problem is that the drivers door won't unlock. He can force it with the key from the outside while holding the handle, but he has to climb out the passenger door to exit the truck. lol Kinda funny, but a royal pain in the *SS after a while.
He's also having an issue with the electric windows not working properly. He's only used them a couple times, because the first time he put the right rear window down, it wouldn't come back up for a day and a half!

Does anyone have any suggestions of what may be causing these issues??
A buddy of his suggested the "control unit" under the dash? I don't know anything about the wiring in one of these.

Any help would be much appreciated.
