ECT Module location

I have removed the ECU, door control module, and light indicator module.

I cannot find the ECT module. I have both the driver's and passenger foot wells torn apart. The only google search I have found shows it in the passenger area.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

OMFG it's just in front of the gear shift mechanism, under the plastic where I usually let a cold beverage ride. Hope this helps someone else because I sure couldn't find a resource directing me to its location.

Your Factory Service Manual tells you right where it is and how to trouble shoot it as well.

I was actually doing a modification to break the signal for the torque converter with the "window lock" button I never use.

The rig will do eighty fine in third gear but when it shifts into fourth the rpm's are too low and it slows back to seventy. And then this process repeats.

So the mod works wonderfully. It gives me another 500rpm to work with, however it does seem like torque is lost. I was only able to do a three mile test with this but I am doing a road trip to California and back in the next two weeks. We will see how it does...

At the least I was able to stay up stupid late and also detail the crap out of my center console.
