Just got a 4runner. The rear courtesy lamp switch does not work in the 'door' position. It does light up in the 'On' position. I can't find the switch to the liftgate. Any help here? This is a 97 4runner.

I believe the switch is built in to the latch.

 

I have this problem with my front courtesy lamp with the door position... though my rear one above the tailgate works.
