Charging problem! Help needed!
so i have this little 93 toyota 2wd truck 22re manual, and i just put a new alternator and battery in and the stupid battery still isint charging, i started up the truck and disconnected the negative cable and it died instantly. so that tells me its running off the battery right? which isint good. like ill drive around for about 25 minutes with the headlights on and then when i come to a stop it will just die and not start back up, like the battery is dead. so whats the problem here? is there a alternator reay or fuse? my fude box looks pretty bad. no cover on it so theres always debris in it and theres on big black square fuse that has a hole in the top of it like it cracked open.
heres the fuse box under the hood, whats that black relay for? its cracked open:

If the truck has a charge idiot light, check to see if it is coming on. The light is the exciter circuit for the charging system. You can also jump 12v to the 7.5 fuse in the under hood fuse box ,this should start the system charging ,if it is a bad bulb. The charging system will charge until the truck is turned off ,then you will have to jump it at start up to get it charging again.

Think about new ground cables one to body and one to block at least.
On these engines the wire coming off the B terminal of the Alternator to the fuse block has a habit of failing from thermal cycling it just gets to the point it no longer conducts.
I have seen plugs get corroded unseen to the naked eye also cause a no charge issue.
Then you may have got a bad rebuild out of the box happens more and more.
