Ok so the PO decided to put some aftermarket motorcycle turn signals in the front and one of the bulbs just burnt out. So this is what started my series of unfortunate events. I can't get these bulbs anywhere (I work at Autozone), they look like some weird bulb that isn't made anymore. SO, I decided to put orange trailer marker lights for 4 bucks a piece in instead of the not as bright moto blinkers. I cut the socket off for the old bulbs and hooked the red up to the power and the ground grounds to the body when you screw it in (which I did). when I turned the blinker on it started sparking like crazy for a few seconds then stopped before I could run and turn the blinker off. Great. So now the front and rear blinkers don't work all, the charge light is on, and the alternator isn't charging the battery. I have checked all the fuses and relays, I don't have a garage, its dark out. WTF am I going to do? Can someone point me in the right direction? I need this truck for school and work daily as it is my only vehicle.
