92 Truck Lights

Hi Guys I have a 92 Toyota Truck ex cab 4 Cylinder 4x4 standard. When I bought the truck a year ago I removed the remote start (aftermarket) that was half disconnected. At the point of disconnection the head lights worked (running/low & high beams)
After a careful removal and patch up of the wiring I don't have High beams, but when I pull the switch in both the lows and highs come on.

Any ideas before I go out in the dark ?

Jon

can you test the voltage comming from the highs? see if the ground is breaking when you release the switch. put the multimeter in the "hot" connector on the headlight, and ground your multimeter to a known ground, not on the harness. are you still getting current?
