82 Electrical issue please HELP
I have an 82 pickup 4x4 22r engine. The truck is dead, I can't get it to turn over. I think there is some sort of electrical issue somewhere that I have not been able to pin point. It is not a dead battery I have put two good batteries in it and even tried to jump it off but get nothing. The only electrical thing I can get to come on are the headlight (in dash lights), and brake lights and the buzzer comes on for a split second. I have checked some of the fuses but not all of them. I took apart the steering column to check the ign switch, but can't find any issues with it. I took the lower part of the switch apart and tried to start it with a screwdriver but that doesn't work. The truck started this about a month ago and acted like a bad battery connection I could wiggle the terminals a little and it would start then that quit working. Then it acted like a dead battery and I jumped it off once and it started but that was the last time it ever started. I have not had a great deal of time to trace all the wires and look over everything, but I was wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience. Is there a in line fuse somewhere that I haven't found or is there somewhere that is prone to a bad connection. Please help.

If wiggling the battery cables worked before, and the battery is good, then it is most likely one of the battery cables. Should be connected to the engine block for the negative and split between the starter and the fusible link box under the hood for the positive. In an 82 if they are original I would just replace both, it will probably need it.
