1986 4Runner: Wire from battery to fuse box (FL)?

I was wonder if there is a fusible link between the battery and the fusebox that is located right next to the battery?

Is this the stock setup on everyones? Mine is a little old and has came apart where it connects to the battery and I just need to fix it...

Is it suppose to go from the big wire to the smaller silver one to connect to the battery?

Thanks!

From: Alhambra CA.
I replaced mine recently.
Mine was fried by the previous owners and They used blacktape to recoat it, I didnt think much of it since everything was working but after doing more and more work on it I replaced the whole wire from the battery to the screw on the inside of the fusebox.
There is no fusable link.
If that wire end can reach the battery then crymp the end on it and hook it up, I would avoid splicing unless its really good and sealed.
