I finally got some new lighting for my 82
Sylvania Xtra Bright Headlights and Some universal foglights:

Well, now it looks like I actually have two headlights.
The fogs come in handy for those extra-dark country roads I drive on. Tried 'em out in some mild snow just a few minutes ago.

 

nice. for even better headlights, rewire them using a dual 30A relay setup, and some decent wire, and get some hella e-code housings, along with some good osram bulbs. (sylvania bulbs aren't really as good as you think)

and you'll be amazed what rewiring your stock headlight circuit will do for bulb intensity!

 

+1 on the Hella e-code lamps. I run them on all 6054 applications and they are the bomb.

Relays help put more voltage to the bulbs. Bumping the voltage from 12 to 14v puts out more than 35% more light, so it's like running 75w bulbs instead of 55w bulbs... for free!

 

relays also give you the ability to run 100+ watt bulbs without any side effects, other than the headlight sockets getting hot, and melting.

 

I just ordered a set of e codes with 80/70 yellow stars from them the other day. I've run 7" round Cibies in my other car for quite a while and they're awesome. The improvement over sealed beams is unreal. Hopefully the Hellas are as good. Also, Osram and Sylvania are one and the same, check the lower left corner here
