12V alternator in 24V HZJ 73

I was planning on putting a 12v alternator and battery in my Japanese Cruiser but there is not much room. Has anyone done this? Cheers

I think I'd be easier to put a Land Cruiser 80 alternator, I mean the 1-HZ or the 1HD-T one that is 12V.

You can search them in the Aussie eBay.
