With winter right around the corner I've been researching remote starters for my 4runner. After reading some threads here and elsewhere it looks like I may go with the Viper 160xv. Directed Electronics shows 15 retailers here locally (Louisville, KY) so I should be able to find a decent deal on it. What I'm wondering about is if I will need the extra key/ bypass model for my setup. I've seen other posts where it was needed but they seem to be all newer models. Can anyone give me any info regarding this? It's a 97 with keyless entry/alarm.
