Why would shop need to bleed my brakes for a clutch job?

I took my Toyota pickup in for a clutch job and the shop told me they would need to bleed my brakes??

I told the guy my brakes are fine. My brakes are completely separate from the clutch system. There is no reason to bleed my brakes.I told them just put in a new clutch kit and flywheel and replace the slave cylinder! - not perform any other work without my authorization.

And, leave my brakes alone.

Am I right?

Only reason i can think of is they had to disconnect a brake line to gain access to something but nothing exactly comes to mind.

Or damaged a brake line. there are a bunch of them in the pass wheel well right by where the starter and slave cylinder come out.

Did you ask why they needed to bleed them?

There's no reason.
my guess is the dept was pushing brake flushes.
