Wheels spacers - what size?

I have a budget of $1500 for my truck for the entire year. $580 is going towards regearing and locking the front. Another $750 towards a rear bumper. That leaves ~$170. That being said, I can't buy new wheels or even used LC wheels. I like my 5-spoke limited wheels anyways. So, I'm going to buy a set of spacers. I need to know what the minimum size I need, though. I was thinking 1" or maybe 1.25".

What would you recommend?

Thanks!

What do you need spacers for? More details on what you are going for is needed to answere that question. Is it for Looks, Axle width matching, SAS, No SAS, wheel Backspacing?

I guess that probably would help.

I have the 16x7 4Runner Limited wheels with 285/75/16 tires. Currently, the tires are rubbing on the upper A-arms at full droop. Additionally, I need to be able to clear the A-arms when my snow chains are installed. So, yes, backspacing would be the main goal.
