What you hate most about your Toyota
#23
1. the stupid clock that goes 11:56....11:57...11:58...12:00 so every day its one minite faster and after a week or two you show up early everywhere you go
2. the stupid rearview mirrors that come loose and shake all over the place no matter how tight and how much loctite or what kind of nylon jam/locknut you use
3. the stupid "power steering" that really isnt power at all ( i dont really mind this one, learned to drive on numerous trucks that didnt have power steering)
4. the stupid key that falls out of the ignition while your wheeling, so when you drive to your local conveniance store, you relize the key is gone, and have to let it idle for awhile untill you find the key (i have a 4runner key tucked behind my a-pillar just for that problem)
5. every toyota ive driven that has manual windows, well you end up just grabbing the window and moving it to the desired position
6. even in the winter, the truck is so unbearably hot
7.does anybodys rear window even work like it should?
8. the wipers that turn on by themselves @ the slightest pothole...okay, well maybe not that slight, but you get the idea
well, im done for now. im not a complainer though, i love both my toyotas to death. im actually lookin around for an 89 yota for my daily driver
im waiting to find the right one though

And my clock works perfect and is super brite. 5% of the time... if that, and it always is still on the right time.

Zelephant: sounds like you need to do some good maintenance on that thing and give the motor a full full workup. shouldn't have that kinda mpg and power problem...

Two things I read and laughed at (cause i have the same issues)
Why is my Yota so friggin hot! AC blasting cold is great but as soon as you turn it down a notch here comes the heat wave.
Windows are crappy. Ive went through the regulator, sprayed silicone and even white spray grease in the tracks. They work great for 2 days and then they are back to a two handed job.

A lot of these things I take as the nature of the beast...If it weren't my T4R, then I'd be complaining about something on a different vehicle. My wifes car, a '02 Civic EX Coupe, the driver's seat is mounted too high (my head rubs the head liner), not enough room, not enough power, with only 70k, it creaks and pops more than my 20 year old Runner with 4 times the miles. All in all, I am overly pleased and love my 4Runner.

The only thing that I dislike about my yota is that she has a rod hanging out of the block at this moment. It is my therapy to go wheeling and right now I'm on edge. Cupholders? What are those? Famous last words “hold my beer and watch this"

.Under the circumstances, I assume it's normal. If not, then I guess I do need to spend some quality time with the engine.

9. the cablight thats always dim and flickery when the doors open, yet works great when you switch it to the on position
10. clutch brackets
11. emergency brakes
12. the clip that is supposed to hold your hood holder upper thingy when its in the factory preset down position

96 tacoma with the 2.7
1. Fuel filter location I took 30mins of looking to find it and another 10 minutes to touch it with my pionter finger.
And yes I did change it
2. No buzzer for head lights or keys. I have locked my keys in my truck a 1000 times and killed the battery about the same amount
3. lazy seat belt
