IFS hubs have a flat dial, SFA hubs have a raised dial.

the hub dials on my '86 are the exact same as the ones on my '80......of course they could've gotten switched around..

dangit though..i was hoping i was right and maybe i could win a sticker or somethin neat like that

I agree, if you put it in 4wd and used it offroad, it would probably sheer those studs right off....but you wouldnt be "hitching a ride" it would just break the hub studs..everything else would still be fine....and you could just remove the hub and keep going. Wouldnt cause you to not be able to drive the rig.
