Trying to figure out a price for my 4runner...help?
Thinking of putting my 86 4runner up for sale and trying to get an idea of a reasonable price. I bought it 99% rust free, what little tiny spots there were I fixed immediately and then treated, sprayed the entire inside and outside lower with bedliner.
22re with 80k on the lower end, top end is less than 5k old, Engnbldr head and cam, new timing chain with steel guides, Thorley header, relocated air intake, NGK wires, cap, rotor, Summit coil, new battery and 4ga cables, 140 amp alternator. Tires and wheels are like new 31x10.50 Treadwright with the GY MTR pattern, have a set of snow/ice tires on stock wheels that are like new as well for the winter. Runs and drives fine, no real issues. The only thing I'd say is that the rear pinion has a little play so that will need some attention sometime down the road. Other than that, it's a really solid rig, I just need something with 4 doors.
Here's some quick pics...thinking $3500-4000, is that fair?

In my totally unprofessional opinion I'd say no more than $3k. Yes it's got a good running motor and good tires, but people expect those things. You still have to remember it's a 23-24 year old vehicle(depending on production date). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though. You might find someone who appreciates all of the hard work you've put into it.
