Trucks getting old might be time for a new girlfriend.
Well I own a 96 limited supercharged 4 runner that I love to death but the rear end just bit the dust. I can fix it but the girlfriend just wants to sell it and get a new car claiming its too old and more is just going to break. So here's my dilemma new truck or new girlfriend? What do ya think?

Why does your girlfriend have a say in what you drive? A wife-that's a horse of a different color, but a girlfriend-no way.
Obviously, there's a lot of information coming from your end that would/could slightly alter what I just typed-but she'll have the rest of her life to spend your money, if you want to keep your rig, by all means do so.

Your truck isn't considered old in my eyes. Every vehicle on the road needs work done to it. Most people just don't care enough to notice. They just turn the key and put in fuel. So even if you go out and buy a fancy newer suv, you'll still have to do maintenance. Your current suv doesn't owe you a thing. So fix your current ride, and start putting $100 a month into the repair jar. Its way less then making payments...and more fun too.

Like the saying if it has Breasts or tires it will cost you money.
I vote fix the truck
if she gives you any lip print out this thread
Women like this can very easily be upgraded to a new model.
With tighter bushings :wabbit2:and sag free back ends. and not so old..
What do you want for the 4runner just in case you chicken out.
Be nice to know where you live??

thats just messed up having to choose between both. I say keep the truck and if your GF has the nerve to threaten you about leaving you if you dont sell it then tell her to hit the road there are plenty more women out there that will respect your decisions.
On top of that she probably just wants a newer car because shes too materialistic
new 4runner rear end = $500-1200
materialistic = lots of $$$$ to maintain

This is the reason that my name alone is on the titles of all my vehicles, including the one my wife drives. Tell your girlfriend if she wants a new car to get it herself, otherwise if she doesn't have a ring, one of your offspring or is super hot (would have to be pretty darn hot) that she can make like a tree.

A long time ago I had to make the same call I made the wrong choice then!!!

: bang:You saw my choice this time .
I could of had some nice things with the $250,000 or so it cost in the end.
Just like special tools better to rent as the need arises than buy for the little you get. After the warranty runs out!!
