I am looking at a 97 Taco which DOES NOT come with the TRD package. I was wondering what the differences between the two are.

I know the TRD package adds an e-locker in the rear, better off-road shocks and larger tires/different wheels. Is that it?

This truck I am looking at has the aluminum wheels I see on 4-runners a lot and seems to sit a good bit lower than the TRD Taco up the street.

yep thats it, different shocks, e locker and i think the rearend gears MAYBE different. i have an 02 4x4 extra cab v6 with out the TRD and i love it.. i dont offroad too much but i can go through some nasty stuff and be fine..80% of off roading to me is the driver and his or her abilitlies
