an rx-7 rotary? your right.. thats an idea. a good idea.. a lot cheaper than a porsche engine that a couple people around here have dropped in theirs. now i just wonder if they make doors like that for yotas... id love to have gull-wing doors on my yota. i know i know im jumping around, but it popped in my head. of course id have to have the car so i can study the physics of the doors and stuff to make a kit for the yota... what do you think? think it would sell pretty good?

Just put a Mr. Fusion on it like the 3rd movie, that way you can save money on fuel.

then you can pocket Grave Diggers paycheck

I think it just might. I like that Idea a whole lot better than those damn "Lambo" doors that all the rappers seem to have. I've considered a rotary swap for the 4Runner, but I haven't seen any kits, and I'd hate to ruin a perfectly good motor, and a halfway decent 4Runner. I'd be a proud owner of a Franken-yota. A Toyota with gull wing doors, and a rotary engine. I don't think anyone would be laughing at me when I blow past them at a stop light pushing about 10,000 RPM

theres just one problem with the rotary.. as far as i know, theyre really hard to work on and from what ive heard, expensive to fix. back to the doors... i wonder what material to make them out of... steel or stainless... maybe aluminum... wouldnt be great for wheelin, but hey the stock doors arent very strong either... hmmmm

Might be good with aluminum, but steel maybe slightly easier to work with. Could be an excuse to put in an internal roll cage with a T-Top design so you can mount your gull wing doors on it. Could be fun.

So what if it has been done. I guarantee it's never been done in Vegas! ! ! I'm just looking for any excuse to go to Vegas, gull wings and rotarys, and stolen Gravedigger parts on Yotas and Deloreans could make for a helluva weekend.

I've already flopped a riding lawnmower on me, damn thing has too much power. A friend of mine rolled it too(RIP- the mower) he was going about 40MPH when the steering assembly broke. Anyway, the subcage thing(I'm not real sure exactly what it's called) where you're gonna mount the shocks for the gull wings, you could also use as a hinge point. You gotta have one of those one touch opener things too, so you don't even have to open the handle, you just touch the spot on the door, and your doors flap open.

That would be something to see. One of the wildest creations I've seen was Jay Leno's Tank Car. I saw it at the Sacramento Autorama, back before it was even owned by Leno. That thing is just MASSIVE!!!

The car is like 28 feet long, and has a Rolls-Royce V12 tank engine in it. It was later Turbo-ed by Gale Banks, and now has close to 2,000 Horsepower. I want one of them for my Yota!!! Oh, yeah, back to that Ferarri V12 Powered El Camino, I bet you could cram one of those into a Delorean!!!!
