HI, I have a a 2nd gen and my YOKOHAMA GEOLANDERS AT's are 2 years old.....I HAVE SEVERE UNEVEN TREAD WEAR & WARPAGE!...man this sucks..I have checked most everything... i could use a slight alignment but thats about it, shocks are good for a while yet and ball joints have no play in them. I am guilty of not rotating them as much as I should instead of every 7000miles its been more like 12000miles. Anyone experience this with there AT's ? it makes for a real bumpy ride (got my change jumpin' around in the centre console) any thoughts should I go after YOKOHAMA for a replacement set? has anyone eveer been sucessful in getting new tire from a manufactuer?

 

what does the wear pattern look like? Cause it can be caused by lots of things: tire pressure(to much or not enough), as you said needing an alignment. Just because it only feels like needing a "slight" alignment, it could be a number of bad things counteracting the feel of each other.

 

I have BFGoodrich M/T's and rotate them every oil change (3,000 miles).
They have been on the truck for a year and no problems with uneven wear.
I keep 37 PSI in them.
Rotation:
L/F <-> R/R
R/F <-> L/R
L/R <-> L/F
R/R <-> R/F
If you just rotate front to back it will cause uneven wear.

 

Ya, not sure what it is but from talking to my Mechanic(s) they figure nothing about the 4runners condition should screw up the treads that bad..... Not sure, maybe it is my fault...live and learn.... I am gonna call YOKOHAMA and ask them to give me a new set,sure they'll cough em up ...lol
