throttle body spacer
Okay, forgive me for being a complete newb in this thread, but I gotta ask... What are the benefits of running a throttle body spacer? They say better mpg's/more power, yadda yadda yadda... Are they worth my time?

im actually not sure.. every mechanic ive talked to here in vegas says theres no big difference, and that mostly carburators use them. then again these same mechanics say you NEVER want to use a ball joint spacer on ANYTHING, whether it be street or offroad, so i dunno.

Our engines are direct port injection meaning the air and fuel don't meet til in the cylinder thus spinning the air is doing absolutely nothing but with these facts you'll still get opinions of people that swear they can feel the added horsepower.
Older carbed engines might benefit a little or '80s engine that relied on a throttle body type of injection but newer motors just don't work that way.
It's TBS works just as well as a Tornado which is just to make your wallet lighter.

The advertising on these gimmicks is impressive and it fools the general non-car people into believing this and those commercial do make it reasonable enough that they sell a ton of those things.
