I have an 86 4 runner. Pressed my clutch pedal the other day and it depressed with a little resistence. After it released it would not depress again. The clutch is engaged since i can shift from gear to gear and roll the vehicle when in gear without depressing the pedal. Any ideas out there of what might be the issue????? Thanks from a yotatech newbie.

Had your vehicle sat unused for a time like months ?/

For some reason weather something broke or has come apart or is stuck the clutch release bearing is holding the clutch plate against the clutch disc.

***Is the clutch bracket broke causing the Master Cylinder to bind ?? Since the pedal won`t move I would look into this first.****

Has the clutch slave cylinder vibrated loose and is now jammed unable to release

These are easy to see .
