Haha I have to chuckle at the fact that a stolen pickup thread can evolve into a political debate with people getting upset in less than 20 posts.

BTW, the truck was recovered in good form

not upset

I'm not upset, I'm not here to debate. It just seems to me that the most controversial thing disgused on this forum should be IFS vs. solid axle or EFI vs. carb (that is not to be taken literaly. I know there are more controversial topics directly related to truck and off road etc., you all get the idea though.). To say again...(as far as I can tell) this is a (great) place for all sorts of Toyota truck tech, off road fabrication, etc. It is not the place for that sort of talk. I would never go to a political forum (including the off topic area of Yotatech) and ask someone how to SAS my 4Runner. There is an appropriate place for everything. I'm sure you can all agree to some extent. Once again, if I have the completely wrong idea I would love to PM with a founding member.

-If I ever (in the past, present, or future) offend anyone here, please let me know and it will be stopped immediately. That is not what I am here to do.
Thanks to all!
-Marty

Yes, it's an off-road forum, but we all have many other interests besides just off-roading, which are all welcomed here also. Political and Religious topics are watched very closely, and at the first hint of trouble, they're locked down and/or put away (which is 95% of the time).

The way our members express their personality is one of the aspects that makes this forum so great, so we definitely encourage that. As long as you're not breaking the rules outlined on the rules page, we have no problem with what you wanna say. Because of this, we're able to know that Brian (Waskilly) was only joking with his comments, trying to lighten the mood and possibly cheer up a guy who just got his truck stolen. That's all good.

Also, as a general rule, if a thread owner wants some "housekeeping" done to his or her thread, we usually have no problem with doing so as long as it's for the right reasons.

Ok... /hijack.
