I sanded mine down , and then repainted it with JOHN DEERE yellow. and then emptied 2 cans of clear in it.

They're 12mm heads- so 8mm x1.25 (pitch) x ~20mm IIRC.

The stock skid is just a gravel guard.

what? you didn't straighten out all the louver fins so they're exactly lined up and symmetrical? what the heck kind of skid plate restoration thread is this???

hah, j/k. nice job, man. glad to see someone get detailed into even the little things. when i pulled mine out of a yard, i just sprayed it flat blk. looks like you're really into your Toy, and that's a nice thing to see.

have a good t-day!

hey! you're not allowed to put TRD stickers on until you install some sort of locker. it's toyota law!

i just made that up.

have fun with the truck, man. it's a money pit for sure. i can't stop either. i've already spent as much as i paid for it, and i still have another of that same figure ready to spend as soon as i earn it. or grow that money tree.

it is fun tho.

Looks good man. I just painted mine for the 4Runner (just went with black). The one on the truck is getting rusty again but I wont worry about it till the spring. We'll see how the painted one holds up this winter. These plates do a decent job of protecting the front from salt spray etc...
