Question about simulated beadlock rims

I am thinking about getting a set of either ProComp 1079's with the optional simulated beadlock rings, or a set of the Mickey Thompson classic locks. Here are the pics of the rims:

ProComp 1079:

Mickey Thompson Classic Lock:

I have not seen either of these rims in real life, only in pictures. So my question is this: Do the fake beadlock rings mount directly to the wheel lip, and isn't this where the lead wheel weights for balancing would be clipped onto? It appears as though the wheel weights would be in the way of mounting the rings.

So can anyone shed some light on this? Or if you have pictures of either of these wheels mounted with the wheel weights on, that would be great too.

Thanks in advance,

I dont have these wheels but I do have some black steel street locks and they mounted the tire weights on the back of the rim.

I have always likes the looks of the Mickey Thompsons, hopefully someone else will chime in...

you can mount sticky tire weights almost anywhere (i have the black street locs w/ weights in the lip) i've sold a few of both those sets of rims (check pacer wheels for a cheaper version of that pro comp one) and they look cool, with the Mickey's you can but a colored outside ring on as well.Either one is cheaper wheel that will look better than stock.

Thanks for the replies so far.

Here is another question: Do you have to have the trim rings on the wheels before getting everything balanced? Or can you put the rings on after it has been balanced? Could the rings effect the balancing?

Thanks,
