Pick N Pull Loot!

Figured i'd start up a thread to see what everybody has found? I find myself going there once a week... ( I'm obsessed, I know ) but yeah, post up what you've found, bought, pocketed, etc etc! I'll start.

Seats from a SR5 pick up. Was gonna use them, bought them for 58 bucks? sold for 70. I painted the plastics black, came out super clean.

I found this tire in the "full size truck/suv" section of pick n pull. it was just lying there... bought it for 32 bucks, and I plan to use it as a spare tire

This dash I didn't originally plan on buying. but with mine being cracked in 3-4 different places, I picked it up. 42 bucks. bezel, vents and gray in color. it came out of a MINT sr5 2wd truck. that thing was cherry.

I pretty much just pocketed the rest of this stuff listed below. I plan to put a 32 bulb red LED in the overhead lights I always pull off clutch and gas pedals and throw them in my pocket. and door handles, I pulled off a 4runner for my a friend of mine. his are broke in half... lol

lmao. I watched someone "pocket" a starter for a Honda.

I haven't had much luck with the Rancho Cordova/Sacramento Pick N Pull's. Everyone else goes there like every day, and picks all the Toyota's clean before I even get there.

heyy...that reminds me...theres a 31" BFG M/T KM1 sittin on the side of a backroad...has no holes that i can see..no rips that i can see or anything...i think i might go snag it for a full size spare for my '86..since it has a 235/75 spare right now..lol

NICE score on that dash dude!!!!! if i ever have to take the dash off in my '92 runner i'm just gonna repaint it..it's not cracked anywhere..just a little faded LOL

I wish they kept the KM1s i want a set so bad. I'd buy them 33x10.50 if I could get a hold on a set.

yeah dude. that dash was "practice" for taking mine apart. I ended up just buying it when I pulled it all apart it had a working SR5 gauge too. 236,282 miles were on it. I went there the other day, the gauges are all ripped apart :/ I hate what people do to perfectly good working things.

I go to the pic n pull in fairfield and rancho cordova all the time, and between the to ive been able to find everything ive needed to restore the interior of my 86 4Runner and also a few missing exterior pieces. My 4Runner is an SR5 and when ever i find something on another SR5 4Runner that mine doesn`t have i will get that part and add it to my 4Runner. Sometimes you don`t find anything, but there are times when you hit the jack pot and find everything you need. I like working on my 4Runner, the only limiting factor is money, theres never enough.

Lol I hear you on that. Here in STL there is only 2 big junk yards and there is litteraly like 2 86 prerunners at both and there bone picked. The ones around here never stock up on new stuff. It bugs the piss outta me. I can never get anything for my truck. I always gotta buy it used.

Cant wait till i move out there. Ill be seeing you all there all the time. Im gonna be picking stuff everyday haha.

I was at pic n pull in Rancho Cordova last saturday and found a couple of things to add to my 4Runner, i found a glove box light and lighted cigarette lighter, still looking for an ashtray light. They were pocket parts.

Hey Myyota. What part of the light are you looking for? I took the ash tray out of my truck and if you need any parts from it. That is if they happen to be compatible. You can have them.

Lol. There's body parts in the cars sometimes. I guess if the accident is bad enough, people parts get pinched/cut off, and the cars make their way into Pick N Pull. I've smelled things in there before, and some of the cars have "BIO" written on them, so I'm sure there's probably like at least a toe or something in one of the cars each time you visit.

I appriciate the offer, but my 86 4Runner is a first generation, and its a complete diferent style than whats in your truck. Thanks for the offer though.
