OME Trim Packer pic request
I searched, but couldn't find a clear answer. Where exactly does the 5mm trim packer go in the front strut assembly? A close up picture would be fantastic.
Also, why does the trim packer give more than 5mm of lift? Isn't it just like a spacer that would give exactly the same amount of lift as its thickness? (Sorry if this is a stupid question.)
Thanks,

The trim packers usually sit right on top of the spring. The reason it might give more lift is because of triangulation and where you measure the lift. Lift is usually measured out at the wheel, but the packer is put in at the spring which is closer to the pivot point of the control arms.
If thats still unclear, think about it like this, when you look thought binoculars even a small ammount of movement at your eyes becomes a much larger movement at what you are looking at, all because of angles and distances.
