No Shock Bushing? Ok to keep it that way?

Driving to class today I heard and felt a rattle type noise right under me feet going over speed bumps or any other kind of bump. So when I got back home I looked under my truck and noticed that the drivers side shock bushing was not there. I check the passenger side and it was still intact and looks to be in good shape. My question is, that if i keep it this way will anything happen? Should I tighten it back up without a bushing? Would that be ok to ride with?

Will it hurt anything in the short term to run without it? Probably not, but at least tighten it up. You will probably still hear creaking/squeaking without the bushing though, and eventually, you might start to wear down the metal on your upper shock mount where the shock will be rubbing on it. I would plan to get one and install it in the near future if I was you.

Wouldn't worry, but the ride will maybe be a little harder (and thus harder on the suspension components). Its fine in the short term.
