I regret NOT having a winch in my WINCH BUMPER! Had the thing on 3 different rigs and its never had a winch There have been more times I can count when I could of pulled my self out instead of needing help. Its a good idea if your wheeling by yourself to have a winch
I also regret doing cosmetic stuff before mechanical work on the truck I had in highschool"dumb kid" The saying is true -"ya live, ya learn"-

3 inch body lift without a beefy front bumper. I rear ended my brother up in the snow and the front body mount pushed back two inches.

not goin thru 103 posts so...the trail gear creeper breathers get a big fail from me. they are a good idea in theory but fail at real use. with no place for the air to escape your seals will pay the price. i got em and three days later i noticed my pinion and knuckle ball seals pissin gear oil. for the time being i have poked a hole in them with a sewing needle and will swap for extended lines soon.

I regret my half ass body/paint job i did on my 4Runner, which i now have to fix since some of the rust i thought i had taken care off is slowly re-appearing again (thanks to Canadian winters and their love of rusting out your vehicle) which means i also have to re-paint it again I also regret not jumping on a set of 33x12.5R15 Yokohoma Geolander's for $300 with only 5000km on em...

Spray can paint, but had to fix some rust and already had an off color fender and that factory silver wasn't the best

Also not really a mod, but not changing the timing chain when I put the motor in, had to change it a couple weeks ago

aal's are also probably gonna bite me in the ass in the near future too

Definatly glad i didnt end up putting my 2" body lift on to do my 4.3 swap

But what i regret most so far.

4" Bracket lift i needed for oil pan clearance. I havent even driven it, and i already dont like it. Fender trimming is the way to go!
And 31" all terrains. Good tires, but 33 muds are better

Spending all the money I have upgrading the IFS and coil suspension on my 95 4runner... Should've just SAS and leaf swapped all at once in the beginning since I'm doing it now anyways a few years later

I regret getting rid of my 86 4Runner, I put so much time and effort into that thing to just sell it. That still hurts on the inside a bit.

I was so excited when I finally found a yota that I really liked, and I could afford(barely) and then found out it was a factory turbo, and while I don't regret the truck at all, I regret That i didnt take a closer in depth inspection when buying. It was a turn and burn and I had already told myself I was going home with it. Could've definitely gotten it for cheaper. But hey, it is what it is. I still love it and I don't even drive it haha

Regret: Bittersweet finding this site. Showing me all the mods (good and bad) that I think I want to do, but will never have the money for. It's a little depressing at times.

Other then that, I regret not finding this site sooner, and spending money to pay people doing a job that I can do now with a bit of research here.

This will make me sound like an idiot to most. My most regretted mod was a 3" body lift, and huge ass 33x12.5r15 tires and wheels on my daily driver. I got a wild hair up my ass, threw those things on, then realized that I thought it looked hideous. I hated the way it looked so much that I took the body lift and tires off, and sold the entire package for $600.

I already had a 3" suspension lift, so I kept that and put my current, more sensible AT's back on

You should have just taken the body lift off and kept the 33s on with the 3" suspension lift.

I would have, except they were expensive tires for a daily driver, and they slung lots of rocks and mud on my paint, and I ain't a huge fan of fender flares
