Mixing ATF Fluid?

I have a 96 3.4l 4runner with auto transmission

The thing is I don't know what kind of fluid i have in my 4runner. I know toyota recomends dextron II - But on the bottle of this
Synthetic Trick Shift may be mixed with all other types of ATF but works best by itself.
So would it be safe for me to mix that synthetic atf with what i have in my tranny? I doubt what i have in there is synthetic right now.

I recommend that you ask this question on the bobistheoilguy.com forums... You'll get the best advice there.

yes i have.... just havn't gotten around to taking any new pics.
My girlfriend likes it better with them on (she is short) - But its mine, so I win

I just installed a tranny cooler and my dad had some dextron II laying around from a while ago. He is pretty good with cars but rarley helps me, and said he didn't think it would be a good idea for me to put in that atf that i have linked to in my first post until i asked someone that knew for sure. I will check on the oil forum.

Maybe someone here will know for sure also. Im really worried about if i have the right amount of tranny fluid. I don't want to burn up my transmission, or overfill it.

Most synthetic tranny fluids and oils are compatible with non-synthetics but you lose most of the advantages of the synthetic by diluting them. If you want to go synthetic you're better replacing all the fluid.

Ok, my neighbor just said the same thing. He said it will increase preformance a little, and that if i can don't mix it, go all with synthetic. The only thing is synthetic is expensive. How many miles should I go without needing to change my tranny fluid? I might put all synthetic in next time.... Along with my new exhaust im getting.
