Hey guys i have a 97 tacoma 3.4 thats giving a #2 misfire code, ive changed the plugs and wires ohmed the coil pack swapped coilpacks around and still get this. Heres the kicker anything i do like pull the plug and replace it will run fine for a mile maybe 10 then comes back. Ive been told to do a valve leakdown test and to check the crank pulley bolt but if i had a issue there wouldnt it miss all the time?

 

Ive also checked the injectors for pulse

 

compression test?? Always the best place to start....

No i havnt yet will this weekend i just fig if it was mecanical it wouldnt ome an go

 

low compression would def cause a miss

 

Comp test was 200 on all cyld except #3 was 180. Pulled injectors and swapped #2 and misfire moved, gonna pull them again and send to witchhunter.
