Installing a handbrake and disconnecting emissions parts

I am interested in installing a car style handbrake in my truck, because the underdash unit is uncomfortable to me. Just curious if anyone here has tried this. If so, how did it work out for you, and from what vehicle did you get your doner lever? So far, a same year celica or supra handbrake seems to be the best choice.

I am also interested in information on properly removing emissions components from one of my trucks that will be used for off road play only. It's an '87 Xcab equipped with a 22R carburated.

Thanks.

Only emission control on a 22R is the cat. No O2 sensor or computer or anything to worry about, just cut it off!

Why would you want to relocate the parking brake? I really don't see what could be gained? BTW...many Toyota cars have the brake in the same spot as our trucks.

I actually don't like where the Tacomas and pre-96 pickups/'Runners have theirs, either. The center console hand brake is still what I like best.

One thing, though. Do you have bucket seats? With the bench you won't be able to do anything about the hand brake (other than maybe move it to the floor somehow).
