Ignition switch/ interlock issue

Hey guys, I've got a '95 4X4 Hi-Lux pickup with an auto transmission. I got in it to go to the gym this evening, and the key seemed a little sticky going into the cylinder. Once all the way in, it does NOT want to turn at all. It appears the flap that turns the key sense switch on and off is at a strange angle, but the key will still insert all the way once you get it past that section of the cylinder. Any suggestions other than a quarter stick, and go buy a new truck? Thanks.

BTW great forum, I swapped in a new 3.0 last fall and you have a lot of very useful information here.

A little messy, but spray some good penetrating lube like PB Blaster into the cylinder and let it sit, and work the key in and out for a bit.

Thanks guys, actually tried tri-flo and it seems to be working fine now. To keep it from sticking again, I'm gonna sell the truck and pick up a spotless '97 Taco I found. =)

Also could be a bad key, I had a worn out key get stuck in the ignition and was a real PITA to get it to work. Try to see if you can get a new key made from the Dealership, that may work too. I got it fixed for free they just gave me a new key and I was on my way.
