I don't think so, doesn't look quite right - where's the pinion support bearing? It takes alot to kill a good 9" . . . .

04 Land Rover Discovery II rear diff

Very much like a Toyota rear axle. Suspension is some weird stuff though.

They got closed knuckles in the front like yotas too, correct?

What's so strange about the suspension?

Haven't even looked at the front other than to weld on a diff armor. I'll have to look at the rest of the front axle.

Suspension has weird panhard bars and doodads everywhere. Too many things to remove just to pull diff.

I'll take some more pics on FB when the new diff gets here next week/two. Getting a rebuilt reman with Detroit for rear.

Lots of wheel spin suddenly stopping. These diffs are known to shear the big rod in the pic and then the spider gears grenade. R & P had little damage but need replacing regardless.
