1990 ext cab 4x4 PU. Traded for my 1995 Saturn SL1 which I paid $250 for in 2007, only ever put ~ $1400 into the car and drove about 55k miles, so it was a pretty cheap truck. It has 168k miles on it and the all cancer was removed and replaced with metal by the PO.

In August of 2009, I paid $0 and .00 cents, it was sitting in my dad's friends backyard in Sacramento for 2 and a half years cuz he bought a new car and never used it for that time. He said if we can get it to run it's ours. All it took was a battery and it fired right up, and luckily he kept the tires stacked in the garage so they wouldn't sunbake and toast, even though the sun beat up the paint, but oh well. So actually, I bought the truck for $110, best investment I've ever made. Even though he said it's not necessary, I'm planning on sending him a check for $1,500 when I can to show my thanks.

How Much would you pay for this?
1991 pickup v6 4x4 176000 miles. Bed is shot but cab and frame are decent. 3 inch lift on newer wrangler tires. Frame seems to be in decent shape(surface rust but no holes) engine runs good and 4 wheel drive works. They are asking 1200 but ive already talked them down to 800 over phone. Seller still has temp tags on it which leads me to believe he has purchased it less than a month ago. Seems like a few red flags but i mean it is a less than 1000 dollar truck how bad can it be.

2007 - 1984 Standard Cab 4x4, Single owner 155,000 miles. Bed has some rust, but hardly any anywhere else. Had the owners manual, original jack in the plether case and even the "undercarriage grease maintenance schedule" in the visor. Paint was baked in the Colorado Sun, but very solid mechanically. $1,500. Finally getting around to fixin 'er up.
I asked the guy why he was selling it, and he said "I figured it was about time to get a new Toyota pickup again." Classic.
Pics to come.

1991 Pickup purchased new that year from Redbird Toyota, Dallas, Texas, what they described as "Dealer cost," for $12,500. (Amazing how much aftermarket alloy wheels affect-- IMPROVE-- her looks. Took me & Discount Tire about 2 years of looking, off and on, for a good set at a good price.)

88 IFS 4wd base model. Bought mine 0ct of 2012 for $700, the motor was knocking and the seat was in bad shape. Put a used engine from a friend in along with the original head, new rancho shocks, new tie rods, timing cover, chain, oil pump, water pump, and a few other things. Still needs some TLC but other than that it is fun. This is my 2nd yota, my first was a 92 2wd that I kept for 7 years.

I ended up paying 2,800 for mine. It is an 85 22R. 4x4, with manual hubs, and solid axle in the front. 3" lift with 35" tires mounted on Centerline rims. No body rust except for the bed, those seams I normally see rusted on these trucks are completely rusted through, and the cargo section of the bed is pretty bad off with rust. Eventually going to replace the bed.
The paint is awful though. The color is purple, and the clear coat on the roof and hood are peeling. The PO also painted these stupid graphics on it. They may have looked good in 1991 but now look ridiculous. They remind me of the Saved by the Bell Title sequence. Hopefully I can repaint it by the end of the year.
Besides the motor blowing up on me less than a month after I got it I am very happy with the whole deal. Now I am driving around with a new motor with about 200 miles.
This is my first Toyota truck. My grandfather had an 84 2wd, when he passed I was offered the truck, but had a 92 Ranger I loved at the time. A few weeks after we sold the Toyota, the Ranger got T-boned and totaled. I should have kept the Toyota but did not know what I know know about Toyota trucks and their quality.
When I was looking to buy a new truck I missed out on a few I wanted and settled on this one. There was a really nice 92 V6 extended cab I missed by a few minutes. In my area Toyota 4x4's will sell within a few hours of posting on Craigslist.
I am really happy with this my Toyota. Even If I won the lotto I would buy a Tacoma and still keep this one.
