1982 Toyota 4x4 3k. Good body, clean frame, engine needs work and I'm still working on it. 287k with lots and lots of extra parts from Marlin and other places. It was a project and I got everything with it.

I'm one of those lucky guys. I've owned several toyota's however the one I have now was a freeby. I am the second owner of this truck. It's a 1987 Toyota 4x4. 5spd 22r. 33in tires. When I received the truck from my friend it didn't run. I rebuilt the carb and had in running the very next day. The frame was completely rusted out from the cab back so yeah I had to work on that two. I have built lots of my own stuff for this truck including the rock sliders and front bumper. I replaced the old bench seat with some nice buckets from a Saturn SUV. I've replaced the clutch, radiator, fuel level sender, heater face plate, and several other things. I'm into this truck now for around 2,000.00 but heck you can't beat that for a daily driver. It runs excellent and has never let me down. This pic below is what it looked like when I first got the truck. It looks way different now

This second pic is was taken about a hour ago its dark muddy and raining here so I tomorrow ill post a better one

Picked up a '90 pickup DLX 4X4 for the price of one '95 Saturn SL1. Truck has 167k miles on it, car had 101k and a brand new clutch. Truck has new 29" tires on it, and new front suspension control arms, shocks, etc. I think I got a good deal. Just have to get the truck running.

i bought my 94 ext cab 10/25/2012 that had 193k on it for 4g's but the body was 97% strait wich is crazy for a truck that is 18 years old paint isnt to bad but will be redone soon

Im about to spend $4000 on this:
http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/3480373222.html
Im a newb to this forum and could not really find the proper thread. Laptop died, navigating with the ol' smartphone aint too easy. However, im about to try and talk this guy down from his asking price of 4500. Clutch is new and stuck a little bit downshifting into second and first. Other than that, everything works well. Undercarriage is as clean as a baby's, no rot anywhere, clean title. Interior was well used but im probably gonna tear most of it out anyway. Thoughts? I'd appreciate some solid opinions from weathered yotaheads. Btw, she'll be my first yota...

Sold a rotted out ranger from upstate new york to a buddy for $875 (he's still got it ha) and used my tax return for the rest of the money to get my:
93 ex-cab DLX, 3VZE, 4x4, 5spd with 160k miles when I bought it in 2010 for $2,000.
It just rolled 192k Love that truck.
Just bought an 88 4Runner last month for $1800 with 282k. SR5, 3VZE, 5spd
Runs like a champ, so much fun to drive. The guy replaced the head gasket, knock sensors, timing belt/water pump, a few other things i cant think of right now, and kept it in really great shape. Just a little bit of the usual rust around the wheels. He threw in an extra set of wheels and tires, extra transfer case, extra steering box, bunch of other random parts, and 3 FSM's.
I'd like to think I got a pretty good deal...

I just paid $3,500 for my 95 4Runner on 12/18. The guy drove it up from Florida days prior to me purchasing it. Daytona Toyota put new block, heads, and internals in it. It's currently got 24k on it. The thing is immaculate, I don't even want to drive it through the Vermont winter.

Free, well almost. Dad bought it back in 1995, second owner I believe. He picked up a Highlander recently and the pickup decided to blow it's headgasket. I spent about $2500 rebuilding it and replacing a lot of parts as well as new tires. Basically my truck now.
