My neighbor just put a new 22re in his 87 runner after 388,000

I know it's the toyotas everyone is more interested in here but thought I would share this jsut because it's interesting. jsut sold the Z28 with 191K on it and bought a 92 grand am for a beater with 227K on the original motor. did toyota design the motor for this or what!!
again i know this is toyotas but i'm pretty impressed with my newest daily driver 96 VW passat TDi. the little diesel has 338K miles. the original clutch finaly went at 323K miles. oh and that grand am was sold to a friend and now has 265K.

BTW to mention toyotas the 4 runner I sold to my sister had 242K or so on it last I talked to them but it was no longer drivable as my nephew got a hold of it and trashed it. been a few years so don't know if they ever got it going again.....they still never paid me for it so we no longer talk.
