Gasket Removal Help: Is This OK?
So I'm in the process of replacing my timing chain and cover. I got the new timing chain installed and am currently trying to remove the old gasket. I swear though, this gasket was glued on like none other. I've been using a razor blade, gasket scraper, gasket remover, and a dremmel with a wire brush attachment. I've gotten most of it off except the two bottom corners. The gasket is pretty smooth with the surface in both corners. Would it be OK if I left it? or should i just put in an extra day to fully remove it?
Cheers,
Andy

It only has to come off if you don't want it to leak
. I know it's a pain in the a$$, but if you take the extra time to do it right it will be worth it. If you put it back together as-is it will leak and you'll have to take it back apart and scrape it off anyways.
