Gasket Removal Help: Is This OK?

So I'm in the process of replacing my timing chain and cover. I got the new timing chain installed and am currently trying to remove the old gasket. I swear though, this gasket was glued on like none other. I've been using a razor blade, gasket scraper, gasket remover, and a dremmel with a wire brush attachment. I've gotten most of it off except the two bottom corners. The gasket is pretty smooth with the surface in both corners. Would it be OK if I left it? or should i just put in an extra day to fully remove it?

Cheers,
Andy

It only has to come off if you don't want it to leak . I know it's a pain in the a$$, but if you take the extra time to do it right it will be worth it. If you put it back together as-is it will leak and you'll have to take it back apart and scrape it off anyways.

Very well said..... I would defiantly take the extra time man. An oil leak will only lead to a dirty engine bay or a blow engine. I would go ahead and remove it even if its hard or takes longer.

No one told George Washington it would be easy to start a colony but he still done it. And look its still here. May have problems but its still here lol

Hey, thanks for the help guys. I'll just spend the extra time and do it right. The last thing I want is to run into problems and have to disassemble everything again.
