Exclamation fuel bubbling in sight glass

So my truck hasn't been running good at high speeds or hills. When i give it gas the engine bucks and then misfires. It runs better at low rpms for sure. when i rev up the engine theres bubbles in the sight glass of my 22r aisin carb. i can't seem to find any air leaks in the fuel lines. I'm running a in line electric fuel pump right after the fuel filter by the tank. i have the return line blocked off. Am i sucking air? What else could cause bubbling? Ive been fighting this issue for a while. Anything helps, thanks!

A few questions:

Why not use the stock mechanical pump?
How long after installing the electric pump did this start?
Is the pump a pusher or a puller?

Because I'm running a 20r head and theres no port for a mechanical fuel pump. it started this problem a month after installing. I'm not sure if its a pusher or puller. its an import direct rated at 4 psi
