Email addy to contact Downey?

Their crappy site doesn't have an email address to contact them.

My coil springs are rusted so bad that the driver's side one actually broke at the top...

I need to let them know how I feel about their products, and order some replacement shocks.

I'm not sure if you'd blame Downey or the Canadian winters for that. I took out my OME 890s and was shocked how little time stuff takes to rust up here. You'd almost have to take them out every 2 years and get them sandblasted and re-powdercoated to keep them in good shape. Seems like rears fair much worse than the front coils too. I hope they comp you new set though.

Because words go. Writings remain.

MTL, that is STILL not supposed to happen. I've had cars for 15 years, and I've never seen 80k-miles old springs break, let alone heavier duty truck springs.

This is not acceptable. Even if I was to remove them and have them sandblasted and re-powder coated (which would cost the same as new springs, which are 80$ each), they would get thinner and thinner with each sanding.

And my Bilsteins are dead anyway. I'm almost tempted to go the Tokico Trekmaster (just installed a set at the rear - total PITA) with a 1 inch spacer. After all, my rear springs have sagged a bit, so the lift would be similar I guess...

Why would give them anymore business if their products sucked.

That might hold true if you sent them a letter the old fashion way through the mail, but emails are easily trashed.

1. I'm trying to avoid that.

2. I can ask for a proof of receipt, and the minute they reply, I can save those emails.

Hugo.....I totally agree with you in principle so I'll be anxious to see the outcome.
I hope I didn't come across otherwise (just stating my experiences is all).

The trouble is, I think I'd rather get Tokico Trekmasters with stock or OME coils, as the rear Trekmasters feel great. Or, PP 1" lift springs, but they only sell rears, or F + R. I only need fronts.

If I get new Downey coils, I will need Bilsteins and the whole shebang.

Decisions, decisions...

If you want to go OME then the setup I got suits me just perfect (see my sig.....very mild lift, maybe 1/2-3/4" on a 99 4runner). It's a bit pricy, but the ride is just amazing (comfort shocks and all).
