my '93 22R-E (116/142 spec) runs millions of times better than this (virtually like a brand new machine; I run it very hard, and it has 215k). Runs like a fine made Swiss watch... or a Seiko for those of you like me who are inclined in that direction. YOU GO GO GO GO GO dijlop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just don't overdo it.... She has a rev limiter in N, too... found that out by
accident on Main St. in Longmont, by the Boulder County Fairgrounds. Don't try to hit it though. My rev-limiter is custom... 8000 instead of 7000-7800 (6500 according to Cho-san and Toyoda-san, and 7000 according to top tech old man Dave at Interstate Toyota....) but 7800 for the lucky ones.... '85 and '86 only, I believe... (could be wrong, I never had an EFI '85!!!)

I'll tell you about my one Rolex and my two Seikos some other time.

P.P.S: Dave at Interstate Toyota has been turning the spanners on Toyotas since 1962. He's AWESOME!!! He knows so much about 'em. So 7000 is THE figure to go with.... I wouldn't dip more than 300-500 into the red zone if I were you, though. If I had a tach, it would spin all the way round to the nice big 8. And it's stayed there for five seconds before.... it's stayed in the red zone all the way home (40 total miles with mostly canyon highway driving) on multiple occasions. Totally fine.... ask anybody around here who owns one and runs it hard on occasion, like me.... hey, I'm the one who doesn't have the balls to run it like dijlop does his.

I don't even touch aspartame except in chewing gum, because with diet soda it gives me a splitting headache...

I was on the golf course yesterday morning in a tourney and chugged HALF of a diet pepsi in one swallow... I had the onset of a headache within five seconds, and a really bad one for the next 20 minutes, before it finally faded off.

and yes, the hilux one is SUPER SUPER SUPER overdone, but that was the first and still is/probably always will be the best one ever on this topic...
