Where do i go to get a refund? I haven't heard anything about it?

I ordered one and then the next morning they removed them from the site. My guess is the computer says they are out of inventory.

 

this is to all with rack setup: does your rack effect gas milage?? ive heard they cause a lot of wind resistance and it effects the milage. and does it make a lot of wind noise??

 

No wonder costco pulled it. I googled coleman rack and the $59 deal was posted on expedition portal, subaru forums, YT, etc etc etc...

 

plenty on ebay for 79.99

 

but the $30 shipping kind of kills the appeal of the cheap rack...costco was $59 shipped...

 

Ok like i said early in the post i want to put my Coleman towards the front of my truck, not on my factory mounts. Someone sent me the link for some off brand Thule clamps and load bars (which are freaking sweet). They are the gutter mount kind. Below i have a link to those clamps and a pic of my runner. Can someone please tell me if the clamps will work on my truck.

As you can see i have a little indention on the top that runs down both sides.

 

You don't have gutters, thus they will not work. Look on the Yakima site, they have options for your truck.

I had a set of Yakima roof rack bars like what it sounds like you are looking for. They mounted just above the doors on my 4Runner. Worked great too and were very strong.

 

Can you send me a link to those. Thats exactly what i need. And ie..i order a coleman on monday and they took my payment but tonight i got an email that my order had been cancelled and they would have to refund my money because they were outta stock..i'm so madd!!

 

I paid $60.00 shipping still cheaper then any off brand rack on the market.....strange that thule bought the company that makes the coleman racks..

well I did not care for the height of it mounting on the factory roof rack so I went to do some first time fabricating. the coleman rack seems too thin walled to drill or weld to so I went with some U-bolts welded to 2 pieces of 1/2" square tubing welded together that I then welded to a 1/8 X 1" piece of flat. I got 2 mounts spot welded tonight but I'm going to change the u-bolts so they are laying on thier side so it has a more finished look. The flat pieces are 5" long with hole drilled in the end to bolt onto factory channel locks of original roof rack. see attached pics. I'll post more pics once I have it mounted. I plan on powder coating it and used SS bolts. which are M6-1.0 bolts.

finally mounted the rack with the custom mounts i made. big difference it has about 1" clearance in the center of the roof and can be taken off with 8 bolts.

 

i really want to get this rack but if you go all of teh links people post it says no longer have this product where can i find one?

 

im glad i got mine when i did then. i think the reason they were so cheap is because they were discontinuing the model. when i got mine it was 75 then 50 a week later now there not at costco anymore.
