Clutch...maybe?

The other day I was wheelin my 86 yota pickup and I was in this hole and gave it some gas and then it wouldnt move. I push the clutch in and put it into first and it wont move. so is it the clutch or something else..the motor is running but just not moving so i know its somewhere in the tranny or tranfercase.

Before this happened could you smell the clutch getting hot at all ?, if so then its possible that you burned up the clutch, and that would be a cheap fix. If its not that then you might have broke the output shaft in the transmission.

Well, it sounds like the clutch is gone, you will need to pull the transmission to check it out.
