Cleaning the MAF sensor

T 100 owners especially.... Once dismantelled, How do you get close enough to the MAF sensor to clean it? I'm scared of sticking the tube from the CRC can too close and ruining it. I read this
http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/mainte...tenancep5.html
but I can only get within 3 inches from it on my T100. It's recessed deep in the tube.
I've tried dripping on to the wires, but they aren't getting any cleaner that way. Just wondering what the tolerances of these things are, can they handle a good misting from the CRC can? Or will that blow them apart?
thanks

I did my parents Maf in their 4Runner last night and What I did was spray in the opening without an extention tube on the can and then I carefully used a long Q-Tip to wipe the wires and that did the trick. I tried just spraying and it wasn't enough. Just be gentle thats all. Anyways good luck and enjoy the T I won't own another truck for a long time.

thanks Flannelman!, I'll have to find some long q-tips. So if I contact a soaked q-tip to the elements of the MAF, do you that will work, or do I have to spray(no tube) the elements. I wish I had a picture of the one that comes off my T100, you would see it's pretty recessed, it's like fishing something 3/4 of a way down a beer can, with about the same opening size and light.
I'll give it another shot.
